Soho Loft
New York | completed | 2024
A loft located in Soho. The concept embodies the sophistication of 1970s French design, drawing inspiration from iconic designers like Pierre Chareau and Charlotte Perriand. Each element balances craftsmanship with subtle elegance, creating an ambiance characterized by a distinctive blend of styles and influences
– Natural materials and textured surfaces
The space is filled with a balanced blend of materials, with warm, natural woods grounding the interiors and custom-plastered walls. Bold color accents and geometric patterns pay homage to the vintage style while still feeling fresh and relevant. High-end pieces from Apparatus, Ethan Stebbins, and Patrick Naggar bring a contemporary elegance that complements the loft's vintage-inspired essence.

As Lead Designer, I collaborated closely with the client and firm owner to conceptualize and refine a cohesive final design. I led the entire design development process alongside a Junior Designer, ensuring full coordination with consultants, including the Architect of Record, vendors, and fabricators. My responsibilities also included sourcing and procurement for FF&E, while collaborating with renowned galleries and luxury brands such as Ateliers Courbet, The Invisible Collection, Ralph Pucci, and Apparatus. Together with the Junior Designer and Project Manager, I managed design administration through project completion.
One of the most significant challenges involved coordinating the custom millwork scope with the fabricator in Italy, along with managing the shop drawing process to ensure precision. The project’s tight timeline required creative solutions to finalize the project since many designer items had extended lead times. To address this, we implemented a phased staging approach to meet our project deadlines effectively. Which required additional complexity for the FF&E program.
