Hamptons House

New York | completed | 2024

Located in East Hampton. This project reimagined a monochromatic house as a vibrant retreat, infusing it with the bold energy and playful spirit of the Pop Art movement. The design celebrated the movement's iconic use of bright, contrasting colors, graphic elements, and playful reinterpretations of everyday objects.

– a space that is as bold and inspiring as it is inviting.

Carefully selected furniture introduced organic shapes and sculptural forms, while curated art pieces, inspired by the likes of Warhol and Lichtenstein, brought striking visuals and cultural references to the space. The staging process added playful accents and unexpected pops of color, breaking the neutrality of the original palette and creating a dynamic, engaging environment.

  • As Design Director, I developed the project concept by creating detailed mood boards to establish a cohesive design direction. Collaborating closely with the Junior Designer, I oversaw the FF&E selection and procurement process, ensuring every piece was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the project’s vision. I also took full ownership of the art curation, sourcing distinctive works from local artists and galleries to enhance the space's narrative and individuality.

One of the most significant challenges was the logistics, as the project’s remote location required precise planning. The staging needed to be executed in a single weekend, which involved coordinating the delivery and installation of furniture, artwork, and decor in a highly efficient manner. This meant working closely with vendors, artists, and the installation team to ensure everything arrived on time and was perfectly executed despite tight timelines and limited on-site resources. The strategic approach and adaptability were key to overcoming these challenges and delivering a cohesive final result.
