Laissez Faire
New York | completed | 2023 | website
High-end cocktail lounge located inside the Beekman Hotel. The concept was inspired by the stylish "savoir-faire" of old New York, reimagining a contemporary "Belle Époque", blending timeless elegance with the industrial essence, where classic appeal meets contemporary luxury.
– Where industrial meets luxury –
The design celebrates the historic foundation of the 1883 Temple Court building, blending its raw industrial character with luxurious finishes. Velvet curtains and brass chains add luxury, while channeled banquettes and warm wood elements elevate the space, creating a rich contrast along with the lighting design.

As Lead Designer on this project, I played a central role from the initial concept pitch to contract signing, ensuring the design vision resonated with the client. developed the concept further and oversaw the creation of comprehensive design documentation, which included the complete drawing set, custom furniture designs, and renderings. Additionally, I had the role of Project Manager, coordinating the execution of the project alongside my Junior Designer, coordinating custom banquettes, DJ booth, and managing the procurement process to meet project expectations.
A major challenge was repurposing selected existing furniture to complement the new design aesthetic. In addition, we worked to seamlessly integrate lighting elements developed by an external team, ensuring that every aspect contributed to a cohesive and visually appealing final look.
